Junk Free June - A not-for-profit organisation

Who we are

Junk Free June is a not-for-profit organisation founded and 100% owned by the Cancer Society of New Zealand. Launched in 2015 with great success, the platform supports the Cancer Council in Australia while the NZ campaign continues to support the Cancer Society of NZ.

What we do

We're building a healthy-living community by providing the people with a platform dedicated to health and wellbeing. The best way to fight cancer is to prevent it - we're not just fundraising to make a difference, we're helping people make healthier choices so they feel great and reduce their cancer risk.

Why we do it

"Analysis of global research shows that about a third of the most common cancers can be prevented through a nutritious diet, maintaining a healthy weight and regular physical activity" – World Cancer Research Fund International. We want to create a happier, healthier world for everyone.

Our Values

We’re committed to raising the social awareness of what health choices are. The first step to change is awareness.

We empower people to make positive choices. Our brand gives strength to those who want to make a change.

The Cancer Society of New Zealand

Junk Free June fundraises for the Cancer Society of New Zealand. The Cancer Society provides a range of support and information for people affected by cancer and funds cancer research in New Zealand.

The Cancer Society receives no direct government funding and relies on personal donations to operate. Junk Free June Limited pays 100% of the money it raises to the Cancer Society and they approve Junk Free June's budgets. Learn more about the Cancer Society here.
